What’s going on in Amsterdam

| Harbour Area

Hop on ferries crossing the IJ behind central station. Up to a 15 minute boat ride to the former industrial harbor area, now the home for creative companies like MTV. Take the ferry to NDSM and have lunch at the IJ-Kantine at the other end.

| Start in Vondelpark

Join a crowd of inline skaters on the Amsterdam version of the Friday Night Skate. The FNS-route is a different one every week. They combine the busy city-center with more quiet neighborhoods, ultra-smooth asphalt with occasional bumpy cobbles.

| Just off Kalverstraat

The Begijnhof is a hidden courtyard of cottages just off the very busy Kalverstraat. Originally built in the 14th-century for a group of pious, charitable women (the Beguines). You will find one of the two remaining wooden houses in Amsterdam right here.

| Museum District

The Rijksmuseum is one of the top attractions in Amsterdam, yet many visitors may overlook its gardens: beautifully cared for flowerbeds, fountains and summer houses, as well as a collection of sculptures.

On top of Nemo | Near Central Station

Climb to the top of the Nemo museum to have a great view of the Old Harbour, The Maritime Museum and the city.

| Red light district

On board KLM Business Class passengers receive a miniature Delft Blue house. Now some of theses house appear in real life!
